The Song That Changed My Life, Vol.6

When I was 7 years old, I only wanted one thing for Christmas and that was a Battlebot, a remote controlled vehicle with weapons attached to it. I watched the Spike TV show highlighting the competitions that these Battlebots had and I NEEDED ONE.

Christmas morning I woke up to one small box and a basket full of candy, knowing that a Battlebot couldn't fit into a tiny box, I was already heartbroken. With tears going down my cheek I opened this small box. It was an iPod, either was the first generation or the second generation.

At the time I didn't know the lasting impact of this gift, my brother opened up the box for me and showed me how to work it. My Dad put about 50 songs on it, there was a lot of Queen, Meatloaf, ACDC and classic rock. But, there was one song that was new and I fell in love with it. It was Papa Roach's, "Last Resort". The opening guitar lick got me hooked in a heartbeat.
