The Song That Changed My Life, Vol.50

Living on Maui, I had 2 CD's always loaded up in my 1994 Bronco (because they were stuck and jammed in the receiver). One I hated and they other I grew to love.

The CD that I hated was 'Appetite For Destruction' Album by GNR. Don't get me wrong, I'm a sucker for a sick little guitar riff, but we all know the three only good tracks on the album (Welcome To Jungle, Sweet Child Of Mine and Paradise City).

Now the other CD jammed in the player grew on to me like a f'n parasite. I never heard of the band '3 Dog Night' until I bought that crappy and beaten up bronco back in 2013.

Within that bronco was a 'Best Of' 3 Dog Night. It had so many feel good hits that were perfect for parking at the beach and watching the waves come crash in. The CD had 'Maui' written all over it, hypothetically.

The song that has stuck with me for so long is 'Never Been To Spain'.

To me the song is about where we've gone and where we want to end up. Its classy, feel good and clean.
