The Song That Changed My Life, Vol.39
I'm a sucker for a cheesy love song.
Whenever I hear a new love song on the radio or Spotify, I'm very skeptical about them. I grew up in a time on music were every love song were either really freakin good or a piss example of infatuation. Artist's in my mind that killed it were Jason Mraz, Blink 182 and Coldplay. Each of their songs that were love related, showed a sense of humility and honesty towards the love or loved one they crushed on in their life which is super hard and opening for anyone to do - even harder in a musical format to express.
This next song is cheesy, sweet and lovey. I was first introduced to this song when I was living in Chicago working at a karaoke bar. A woman who I worked with was so cool and deep. Probably the first person I trusted in that big city. She had a hell of a voice and attitude to follow. About 2 months of working at the bar, she asked me to do a duet with her - and I couldn't turn that down because I idolized her.
We sang the song, and the crowd erupted.
Don't you worry, there my honey
We might not have any money
But we've got our love to pay the billsMaybe I think you're cute and funny,
Maybe I wanna do what bunnies do with you,
If you know what I mean
