The Blue Angels Arrive in Tuscaloosa for This Weekend’s Air Show
You probably heard them roaring through the sky on Thursday morning as they made their way into Tuscaloosa for this weekend's air show.
The U.S. Navy Blue Angels made some practice paths through the west Alabama sky before landing at the Tuscaloosa Regional Airport. The elite group of pilots are in town to perform on Saturday and Sunday at the Tuscaloosa Regional Air Show and people got a chance to see a little bit of what they are capable of earlier today.
We had a chance to get out to the airport on Thursday to capture the planes as they arrived in town and got to speak with one of the pilots about the excitement surrounding their visit to Alabama.
"It's an incredible feeling and a lot of time I have a hard time putting it into words," Cmdr. Eric Doyle of plane 1 said. "Every time I get to put on this flight suit for the Blue Angels and fly this beautiful blue and gold airplane, it's an amazing feeling."
The Blue Angels will begin their performance around 3 pm on Saturday - rain or shine - as all six planes will be on display. You can see the full schedule and buy tickets for the show at TuscaloosaRegionalAirShow.com.
