Take the Tuscaloosa Krispy Kreme Challenge Saturday with Greg Thomas
Saturday morning at 10am, it's the 3rd Annual Tuscaloosa Krispy Kreme Challenge at Government Plaza downtown. Once again hundreds will step up to take the challenge of 2 miles and 12 doughnuts, while raising money and awareness for Big Brothers Big Sisters of West Alabama.
This annual event gives doughnut lovers like myself the excuse to indulge in the treat for the cause. More than a run, it's a spectacle watching everyone break a sweat running, stuff their faces and run some more. Along the way you share laughs on how crazy all of this really is. Don't let the though of all this eating scare you at all, you don't have to do it. Eat 12, 6 or none. It really is up to you. Just come join the fun!
I mean, look at that face of glory! Haha!
Even Big Al loves this challenge.
Look, the prize at the end, the doughnut medal!
This is a BIG community event, and it keeps getting even bigger each year.
I spoke with Danielle McInerney, Big Brothers Big Sisters of West Alabama CEO/Executive Director about this year's event. Give a listen.
I hope to see you at the challenge!
