Showers and thunderstorms are possible across much of West Alabama this afternoon and into the evening hours, and the latest forecast from the National Weather Service in Birmingham suggests that a few of those storms could be severe.

Talk about a crazy forecast--the next 48 hours could bring damaging winds, hail, isolated tornadoes, freezing rain--and snow!
