Three days ahead of the annual Iron Bowl game between Alabama and Auburn, Crimson Tide head coach Nick Saban has tested positive for COVID-19, according to the Alabama Athletic department. This is the second time this season Saban has tested positive for COVID-19, however the first test resulted in a false positive diagnosis.
The Iron Bowl is on the horizon but it appears the Auburn Tigers may enter the game shorthanded. Several notable names have been declared out for the game or are still listed as "questionable" The Alabama Crimson Tide is a 25-point favorite entering Saturday's contest and the Tigers will have an even harder time in the game if these players can't play.
Alabama went on the road and fell to in-state rival Auburn today 48-45. The Crimson Tide scored the most points that Auburn has given up all year but it wasn’t enough to claim the victory on The Plains. Alabama kicker, Joseph Bulovas missed a 30-yard field goal off the left upright with 2:00 left in the game that would have tied the game up at 48.
The Alabama Crimson Tide (10-1) hit the road today to take on Auburn (8-3) at 2:30 p.m. in Jordan-Hare Stadium. Coach Nick Saban takes his fifth ranked Crimson Tide to The Plains, hoping to lead his team to a decisive win to leave an impression on the College Football Playoff Committee.
