Former Alabama baseball infielder Kolby Robinson announced via his Facebook page that he was opening his own indoor training facility for athletes of all ages and sports. The complex is set to be called 256 Sports Academy located in Florence, AL.
In addition to pitching for the Huskies he also has experience playing first base. As a junior he earned Class 7A Pitcher of the Year. In 70 innings he struck out 116 batters on his way to a 9-2 record and a 0.99 ERA.
Former Alabama Crimson Tide baseball pitcher David Robertson has been selected to represent Team USA for the 2020 Tokyo Olympic Games. The Games were pushed back due to last year’s Covid-19 global pandemic.
Alabama baseball outfielder Owen Diodati was honored as the Cape Cod Baseball League’s Player of the Week this week. Diodati, also referred to as Dio, is currently playing in the collegiate baseball summer league with the Wareham Gatemen based in Wareham, Massachusetts. Dio was selected out of 10 teams the CCBL currently represents.
Alabama baseball relief pitcher Chase Lee earned third team All-America honors from the National Collegiate Baseball Writers Association (NCBWA) on Wednesday. This is the first honor for the Tide from NCBWA since 2016.
Alabama outfielder T.J. Reeves has announced via his Twitter his new baseball home after entering the transfer portal earlier this month. The Hueytown High School alum announced he will stay in the state and play his college baseball for the Jacksonville State Gamecocks in the Ohio Valley Conference.
