This week, we're teaming up this week with Chick-fil-A Northport on McFarland Boulevard and Tuscaloosa South on Skyland Boulevard to support the Tuscaloosa Backpack Coalition! This goal is simple, investing in our local kids with supplies for the first day of school.

$1 is all it takes to buy an Apple for Education. Just a buck. That's it. School supplies are also being collected. As we like to say, "it all adds up." Really, if everyone chips in, together we'll make a difference.

Now, there is a friendly challenge on the table, which restaurant can raise the most money and collect the most supplies? You have a say in that! Visit either Chick-fil-A location, Northport on McFarland Boulevard or Tuscaloosa South on Skyland Boulevard. Listen in the afternoon for updates on the amount raised/collected. Hey, it all adds up to the grand total at the end!

Party at the end! Yes, let's celebrate a job well done with a special family night on Thursday between 6 and 8pm. Apples will still be for sale and anyone bringing a bag of supplies will receive a free milkshake. The kids will love it too, with free games, slides and prizes! Thanks to David at T-Town Bounce.

At the end of the party, the winning Chick-fil-A will be announced. Oh, the sweet bragging rights waiting to happen. That's all in fun, the bigger goal of supporting our community is what really matters. This makes us all winners!

Apples of Education are also on sale at center court at University Mall through Sunday (July 26th).
