Sunny Skies For The Next Few Days – 10.22.19

Weather Update for Tuesday, October 22, 2019

Take time to enjoy the next few days because there will be plenty of sunshine and chilly nights for the next few days.  Today, you can expect sunshine with a high near 70, but wind gusts could get as high as 20 mph.  Tonight, the low will be around 45 with clear conditions.  The next rain chance could come as early as Friday, but some weather models predict the rain for Sunday.  I will keep you updated on the rain chances for the weekend.

Since there will be some beautiful clear skies in the evenings, I plan on doing some star gazing.  I am strictly an amateur and found the Sky & Telescope website very helpful in learning some basics.  Also, I found an excellent resource for group events in Tuscaloosa.  The Astronomy Group within the Department of Physics and Astronomy at the University of Alabama holds monthly Public Nights.  You can find their schedule here > http://astronomy.ua.edu/public-events/
