Stone Temple Pilots’ Dean DeLeo Accused of Domestic Violence By Estranged Wife
Stone Temple Pilots guitarist Dean DeLeo has been accused of domestic violence by his wife Jenn DeLeo. According to TMZ, Jenn DeLeo has filed for divorce from the musician, alleging he has been abusing alcohol and drugs while endangering their daughter.
Dean and Jenn DeLeo got married in 2012 after beginning their relationship two years earlier. Court documents reportedly attained by TMZ detail substance abuse by the STP guitarist and a 2012 incident where Dean allegedly took the couple’s baby daughter into the ocean while he was “completely inebriated.”
Jenn has also reportedly accused Dean DeLeo of various physical assaults and strangulation attempts against her, abusing his son from a previous marriage, claiming he could have his ex-wife killed, and extramarital affairs. Jenn also claims Dean has threatened suicide if she leaves him.
Over the weekend, Jenn DeLeo took to Twitter to publicly accuse Dean of abuse:
A former model, Jenn DeLeo was one of the first of over 200 women to accuse film director / writer James Toback of sexual harassment in 2017. Jenn claims the #MeToo movement empowered her to file for divorce.
We’ve reached out to Stone Temple Pilots’ representatives for a comment on these allegations, but have yet to hear back. Stay tuned for further developments.
