Stillman College released their new basketball and volleyball courts design on Thursday.

With a 15-foot wide stained tiger at center court, along with an interlocking "SC", it's the first new design the court has received in more than a decade.

The new court, located in the college's Birthright Alumni Hall, is sponsored by HBCU League Pass Plus and was made possible through donations from both HBCU League Pass Plus and the Urban Edge Network. Earlier this year, Stillman College signed a multi-year agreement with the network and league pass plus, the first and only 24/7 live-streaming platform for HBCU sports.

In a statement from the college: "We are excited to reveal this project, which is the first of hopefully many upgrades to our athletics facilities. Our basketball players were presented with the opportunity to vote on and choose the design for this upgrade before the academic year ended, and we hope the Stillman community will enjoy this look and come see it in person this fall."

Men's basketball head coach John Teasley and women's basketball coach Alico Dunk have expressed their excitement about the new court, but the excitement spans also to the women's volleyball team coached by Joel Penfield.

"I'm excited about the new updated gym floor. The new logos look great. Volleyball looks forward to competing on it for the first time," Penfield said.

Stillman fans can see the new court in person this fall for men's and women's basketball games, as well as women's volleyball matches.
