State Confirms 157 COVID-19 Cases, 7 in Tuscaloosa County
The number of confirmed cases of the COVID-19 coronavirus in Alabama continued to rise Sunday afternoon as statewide totals reached 157, according to the Alabama Department of Public Health.
Jefferson County remains the center of the state's virus outbreak, where there are now 71 confirmed cases.
There are 17 confirmed cases in Shelby County and 16 in both Lee and Madison Counties.
Tuscaloosa County remained at 7 confirmed cases, unchanged from ADPH's Sunday morning report.
The state has successfully processed 1,602 tests, with thousands more waiting to be analyzed.
So far, the virus has claimed no lives in Alabama.
