‘Star Wars Forces of Destiny’ Sets July Premiere With First Trailer
Star Wars fans were delighted with word that Rey, Jyn, Leia, Hera and more would lead a new vision of the animated universe, and there’s more good news on that double-sun horizon. See the first Forces of Destiny trailer right now, and find out the July premiere!
Disney released the first official trailer for Star Wars Forces of Destiny, a new series of canonical animated shorts starring The Force Awakens’ Rey, Rogue One’s Jyn Erso, Rebels’ Sabine Wren, (then) Princess Leia, Padmé Amidala, Ahsoka Tano and more. The first shorts will arrive Monday, July 3 on Disney’s YouTube page, after which a new short will premiere online each day at 1:00 P.M. EST / 10:00 A.M. PST, ending in a Disney Channel broadcast debut on Sunday, July 9th.
Star Wars Forces of Destiny returns Daisy Ridley to the role of Rey, along with Felicity Jones as Jyn Erso, Rebels stars Tiya Sircar and Vanessa Marshall as Sabine Wren and Hera Syndulla, and Clone Wars originator Ashley Eckstein as Ahsoka Tano. Lupita Nyong’o will also voice Maz Kanata, narrating the series.
More than just an animated series, Star Wars Forces of Destiny will also incorporate books, apparel, bedding, Hasbro adventure figures & role play items beginning August 1st. We’ll likely hear more soon, so stay tuned.
