School Closings and Delays for Monday, January 9, 2017

Icy conditions still persist on many roads across west and central Alabama, and as such, many schools have closed or are operating on a delayed scheduled today. Here's a look at the latest closings and delays for Monday, January 9, 2017.

Bessemer Academy - Closed today

Bessemer City Schools - Closed today

Hoover City Schools - Closed today (12 month employees report by 10 a.m.)

Jefferson County Schools - Closed today (12 month employees report by 8:30 a.m.)

Shelby County Schools - Delayed 2 hours

Some Tuscaloosa County Schools will operate on a 2 hour delay. Jason Morton of The Tuscaloosa News reports a 2 hour delay for Brookwood Schools only.
