Schedule of Alabama Events Happening in Atlanta for the Championship Game
The University of Alabama will play in its third consecutive national championship game on Monday night in Mercedes-Benz Stadium and thousands of fans will make the short drive over to Atlanta to celebrate celebrate another great season.
With it being such a championship weekend and so close to home, there are a number of events happening around the city for fans to enjoy. We've put together a list of the ones that might be of interest to Alabama fans. If you see anything we've missed, let us know on Twitter.

Saturday
9 - 11:30 AM - Philips Arena - Media Day is FREE and open to the public. Fans are invited to watch as both teams and coaching staffs participate in media interviews prior to the national championship game. Attendees can watch their favorite players, while listening in on interviews via free headsets and observe more than 1,000 journalists interact with the teams.
4 PM - AT&T Playoff Playlist Live! concert series - The free event will feature a variety of national recording artists, including up-and-coming bands and long-time favorites, firework shows and sponsor giveaways. Performances by Jason Derulo and Charlie Puth will kick off the event on Saturday (January 6) night, along with special guest Lizzo. Gates open at 4PM.
6-8 PM - Smith's Olde Bar - The Bama in Atlanta alumni group will host a party at one of the city's official Alabama bars. Landon Collins, Rashad Johnson and Barrett Jones, will be in attendance. Sherman Williams will also be there selling his book, Crimson Cowboy, and promoting his charity organization. Tickets are $10 for members and $15 for general admission. Info and tickets here.
Playoff Fan Central - Georgia World Congress Center - Playoff Fan Central is a 300,000 square-foot interactive experience that gives thousands of fans the opportunity to be a part of the College Football Playoff National Championship. Sunday
4 PM - AT&T Playoff Playlist Live! concert series - The free event will feature a variety of national recording artists, including up-and-coming bands and long-time favorites, firework shows and sponsor giveaways. The Chainsmokers will headline Sunday (January 7), with additional performances by Bebe Rexha and Spencer Ludwig. Gates open at 4PM.
7-10 PM - Sweetwater Brewing Company - The University of Alabama Alumni Association is hosting a championship celebration at the state's largest brewery on the eve of the big game. The event costs $25 and will feature music from the Whiskey River Band, food trucks, and former Alabama players Jake Coker, Landon Collins, Barrett Jones, Rashad Johnson, and Mike Johnson. Monday
Noon - AT&T Playoff Playlist Live! concert series - The free event will feature a variety of national recording artists, including up-and-coming bands and long-time favorites, firework shows and sponsor giveaways. On game day, Monday (January 8), Darius Rucker will headline the pregame event from the Capital One Quicksilver® Music Stage, along with opening act Brett Young. Gates open at noon.
3-6 PM - Hudson Grille Downtown - The University of Alabama Alumni Association's national championship tailgate will be held downtown at Hudson Grille. Tickets are $100, which includes a full open bar. The event will also feature special UA guests. Info and tickets here.
Watch Parties - If you can't make it inside Mercedes-Benz Stadium for Alabama vs Georgia, there will be Crimson Tide watch parties at Hudson Grille Downtown, Smith's Olde Bar, and Creatwood Tavern in Smyrna.
