With the 12th pick in the 2020 NFL Draft, the Las Vegas Raiders selected Henry Ruggs III. Ruggs III becomes the first draft pick of the Raiders since they have moved to Las Vegas. He also becomes the first wide receiver drafted in the 2020 draft.

Ruggs III joins the Raiders in desperate need of receiver help. The Raiders lost star receiver Antonio Brown last season before the season began. He will fit the ideology of coach John Gruden who wants to attack defenses down the field. Ruggs III joins his Alabama teammate Josh Jacobs with the Raiders who was one of three first round picks of the Raiders in 2019.

Ruggs III ran 4.27 40-yard dash at the combine in February which saw his draft stock skyrocket. He finished his career at Alabama with 98 receptions, 1,716 yards and 24 touchdowns.

Last season's 12th pick was Rashan Gary of the Green Bay Packers, he signed a four-year contract worth $15.8 million. Ruggs will sign a similar deal with the Raiders.
