Since the first Pride month in 1999, June has been a time for LGBTQ+ individuals and allies to celebrate their community and causes. Here’s a list of several pride-related events going on in and around Tuscaloosa the rest of this month.

June 7

Place: Tavern 1831
Time: 6:30 p.m.
Price: $35/person
Description: Visitors will have a chance to test out their make-up and painting skills by decorating styrofoam heads. Tickets can be purchased by messaging the amount wanted and the visitor's Venmo name to Tavern 1831 on Instagram or Facebook. A portion of each ticket will be donated to Druid City Pride.

June 8

Place: Icon Tuscaloosa
Time: 9:30-11:30 p.m.
Price: $5/person
Description: Visitors can listen to and perform their favorite anthems at this Karaoke Night. Proceeds will benefit West Alabama Young Democrats.

June 11

Place: Linn Park, 710 20th Street North; Birmingham
Time: 11 a.m. gates open
Price: FREE
Description: Individuals who want to travel outside of Tuscaloosa can join in on the 2023 Pride Festival in Birmingham. The event will feature live performances, food trucks, a health fair, and more.

June 15

Place: Super Skate
Time: 6:30-8:30 p.m.
Price: FREE
Description: This free family skate night will be hosted by Druid City Derby and the Druid City Devils.

Place: Icon Tuscaloosa
Time: 10 p.m. Doors open at 9 p.m.
Price: FREE
Description: Visitors will be able to test their music knowledge at this free event.

June 22

Place: Icon Tuscaloosa
Time: 11 p.m. Doors open at 9 p.m.
Price: FREE
Description: Visitors can experience a free beach party at Icon Tuscaloosa as long as they wear beach attire and arrive before 10:30 p.m. Special show will take place at 11 p.m.

Pride doesn't end once June does. Tuscaloosa's Druid City Pride festival will return for its 8th year of the festival this October.
