The Annual Tuscaloosa Kiwanis Pancake Day is this Saturday at Central High School from 6am-Noon. Tickets are $5 per person for pancakes, sausage, coffee, milk, and soft drinks. Purchase tickets at the door or in advance. No carry outs.
The Little Lambs Consignment Sale is this weekend at First United Methodist Church. The community wide semiannual consignment sale offers gently-used children’s clothing up to size 14, baby items (such as strollers, swings, and high chairs), nursery furniture, toys, and books. Proceeds help fund the Children’s Ministries of FUMCT
The Brussels Sprout Challenge is 8am.-Noon at the Tuscaloosa Amphitheater hosted by UA’s College of Community Health Sciences during the American Heart Association West Alabama Heart Walk. The walk begins at 9 a.m. at the Tuscaloosa Amphitheater and continues along the downtown river walk. The College and its University Medical Center partners with Manna Grocery and Deli in Tuscaloosa to roast and serve Brussels sprouts at the walk, to complete the Brussels Sprout Challenge, participants must eat one roasted Brussels sprout at each mile marker of the 3.1 mile walk.
The Mayfield Volunteer Fire Department's monthly Fish Fry is Saturday from 4-7pm in Fayette (19572 Highway 171). Plates are $10 for adults and $5 for children.
