Severe storms swept across the southeast last night, and many homes in Greensboro and in Hale County suffered damage.

No injuries have been reported, and it is not known at this point if the damage was the result of a possible tornado or straight-line winds.

WVUA23's Chelsea Barton reports Hale County Emergency Management Agency Director Russell Weeden says a path of damage four miles in length. A home was destroyed on Cashew Road, and multiple houses were damaged in Greensboro. Homes were also destroyed on Highway 69S near its intersection with Highway 25.
