OBJECTION! Paradise Presses Play, Vol. 24!
Welcome back to Paradise Presses Play. With the recent announcement of one of my favorite game series coming to the Nintendo Switch, I thought it'd be a good idea to revisit the first game ever released. It's an anomaly of a game, and to many, it shouldn't work. But it's worked out, and now we look back, or should I say finger point, to it.
This week's game is none other than Phoenix Wright: Ace Attorney!
Story: Phoenix Wright is the newest attorney to join Mia Fey's law firm. Phoenix's past has lead him to wearing the attorney's badge. His first case is certainly one that will test his skills. Defending his best friend on a murder charge will a tough task. Can you help Phoenix win and start his career right foot? Or will the demons from his past cause issues in his present?
Phoenix Wright is a bit of mixture of a visual novel and a point and click adventure game. The story progresses by you talking to detectives, defendants, witnesses, and even prosecutors to gain information and advance the story. By investigating or using certain pieces of evidence, more info will come to light thus strengthening or weakening your case.
The real star of the game is the courtroom. Things will twist and turn in the halls of the justice and you better be ready to back up your case. The prosecution wants a guilty verdict. Be prepared because this won't be easy, and things might come down to one single moment. Good luck, go get that not guilty verdict!
