NWS Issues Tornado Watch for most of Alabama Until 11 p.m. Wednesday
The National Weather Service has issued a tornado watch for most of the northern half of Alabama, including Tuscaloosa County and the entirety of our coverage area in west Alabama.
The watch is in effect until 11 p.m., and the NWS warns that a few tornadoes are likely, along with small hail stones up to the size of a ping pong ball and wind with scattered gusts of up to 75 miles per hour.
Stay tuned to this site and station for more information on this storm system as it develops. In the event of active tornado warnings in our coverage area, all Townsquare Media Tuscaloosa stations will begin broadcasting wall-to-wall weather coverage until the threat has passed and the warning is canceled.
