No one was hurt Monday morning in an explosion at a Tuscaloosa junkyard that was heard all around the city.

The blast, which happened around 7:25 Monday morning, was caused a gas tank exploding at West Tuscaloosa's Liberty Recycling Center, formerly known as Temerson & Sons, Inc.

Residents took to social media to report rattled windows and shaken walls, wondering what caused the explosion. Dozens also logged the noise on "Bama Boom Tracker," a website that allows users to report the occurrence and severity of unexplained booms in the state.

A Tuscaloosa Police Department spokeswoman said officers responded to the junkyard, but reported that all was well there.
