As we wrap up another crazy HOT week it's that time where I take a look at some of the things I thought were cool about.

So, this isn't exactly new this week but I had some time to spend with the new release from The Interrupters and will honestly say, dang! One of the best records I have heard all year. From start to finish, a full-on frontal assault of ska punk goodness! You've heard us playing "She's Kerosene" on Alt 101.7 but please do your ears a favor and check out the full record out on Hellcat Records if you dare!

Sloss Fest! Okay, so it was a weird weekend, lots of rain delays, thunderstorms, and devil heat but what I was able to take in was worth making this list. I most enjoyed seeing Lady legs for the first time, even though their set was cut short. AJR playing acoustic in The Shed, Nikki Lane, an amazing set from Brent Cobb, *RepeatRepeat melting faces, and meeting Margo Price (minus the horrible laughing/drunky face I have in our picture) were a few of the other things that made the weekend great. I also enjoyed meeting a few folks I have gotten to know on Instagram but had never had the chance to see face to face.

The Struts are coming to T-Town! My friend Victoria from the band Sweet Tea Trio turned my onto these guys after she had the chance to hang with them on the Kid Rock Chillin' the Most Cruise two years ago. We need more straight forward rock n' roll in our lives and The Struts bring it! Tickets are on sale now for the October show at Druid City Music Hall.

Other honorable mentions of the week:

Have a great weekend!
