Growing up, my fondest memories are my father and I sitting on our beat-up couch watching HBO boxing and screaming at the fighters telling them to 'change our stance!' or 'cover your face!'. Unfortunately, with the rise of UFC and other MMA sports the popularity of boxing has increasingly gone downhill. Back in the day, people only having three channels on the television - boxing was a Friday and Sunday staple for friends and family alike.

But a spark of life from Wilder, Crawford and Fury - professional boxing now has a good rep and fan following that hasn't been noticed in years. With all that being said... some of the all time greats are stepping out again and putting on the gloves once again.

In breaking news, legendary boxer and actor, Mike Tyson has challenged Roy Jones Jr. to a bout and surprisingly he accepted the offer for a headline bout to happen Sept. 12 at Dignity Health Sports Park in Carson, California. With all that new breaking stuff in sports (with no news), people are loving to see two all-time greats going head to head once again. Another fight that will be on the card will be current NBA legend Nate Robinson and infamously known Jake Paul (who I hate with a burning passion).

In my eyes, the sport needed this.

Roll tide you dirty animals.
