Mercedes-Benz Extends Coronavirus Shutdown Through April 20th
Mercedes-Benz announced it is extending the shutdown of its Vance production plant through April 20th.
MBUSI employs about 3,800 people and made the decision to suspend production beginning March 23rd as a safety precaution due to the threat of the novel Coronavirus. The Tuscaloosa News reports production is tentatively scheduled to resume April 20th; however, the COVID-19 outbreak situation must improve before the plant can return to its normal operations.
