I try to get the most out of my makeup. I pay an obscene amount of money for the products I use, and I just can't live without my luxury mascara. What do I do when the tube of my fave mascara is as empty as my bank account? I bust out this money-saving trick and get another two weeks of use out of that bad boy. Let me share my most baller-on-a-budget makeup tip with you.

It's easy to get another week or two out of your mascara after you suspect the tube is empty. All you need is a bottle of regular old lubricating eyedrops--nothing fancy, and certainly nothing with an astringent. You could buy regular Visine, but why stop there? Just get the Walgreens or Rite Aid brand, because you ain't wasting money like that. NOT TODAY.

Y'all ready to do this? Here's my not-so-secret-anymore formula:

It's that easy. Take the wand out. Put about 10-15 drops into the tube of your mascara. Put the wand back in; shake it like a Polaroid picture, and MORE MASCARA! It's like extreme cheapskate magic.

I usually put the drops in my mascara tube and then allow things to set overnight. I give it a good shake in the AM, and I'm good to go. The only downside to this trick is that it can negate any existing waterproof effects your mascara may have, so just... don't cry.
