I hate to be the one to tell you, but that sweet little video Adam Levine and the dudes from Maroon 5 released for their latest single, "Sugar," was all fake. You thought they were surprising fans and crashing weddings? Nope. The only thing crashed here is your faith in the band. Cue the sad trombone.

Multiple sources are now reporting that "Sugar" was staged. It makes sense now--the video quality is a little too good for something that was supposed to be a total surprise for everyone in attendance at each of the like seven weddings--oh, and there are paid actors in the videos, too--most notably an America's Next Top Model contestant.

It's a major bummer to know the whole thing was a hoax, but hey... at least you get to look at Adam Levine in a tux, right?
