Memphis Police say that the incident was reported around 10:28 a.m., when dispatchers received word that an unidentified man had jumped from the 10th floor. The man, whose name was not released, was produced dead at the scene by the Shelby County Tennessee Medical Examiner.

Eyewitness reports say that the man was yelling on the top balcony moments before jumping off the building in his Superman Attire.

A resident of the building, Melvin Washington, told The Commercial Appeal Newspaper in Memphis, that he talked to the man a few days ago, and nothing seemed strange about him. Said Washington, "He wasn't intoxicated or anything, and he seemed like he was in his right mind. He was a good fellow to me."
