The 2021 season was nothing short of a roller coaster from start to finish. Despite defeating three of the previous year's Final Four teams, Alabama finished with just a 19-14 record and dropped four straight games to close the season.

The team entered the year with high hopes , returning players like Jahvon Quinerly and Jaden Shackelford and adding five-star J.D Davison, but that hope quickly turned to doubt in the form of turnover and shooting woes.

Looking ahead to the upcoming season, the Tide lost a few key names from last year, but brings in a plethora of elite talent.

In this offseason, Alabama has added not only the two aforementioned five-stars but two top-rated transfer prospects in Dominick Welch and Mark Sears, both of which are expected to contribute heavily.

Although last season's high expectations were marred by disappointment, this year's team is once again built like an elite unit that could make a deep tournament run.

Only time will tell for the Tide, but for a team that lost as much talent as it did, the replacements look to be even better.
