Local Man Found Dead In Lake, Foul Play Not Suspected

The Tuscaloosa County Metro Homicide Unit is investigating a body found off Highway 171, in a private lake earlier this afternoon. However, authorities also believe that foul play was not involved.

Investigators say that the man, 51, was found around 12:30 pm on private property, in the 12000 block of Hwy 171. It is believed that the man did not live on the property.

Tuscaloosa County Metro Homicide Unit Assistant Commander Lt. Kip Hart said, “At this time we have not determined the exact cause of death, but it does not appear that foul play is involved”.

The victim's name will be released after notification of his family members.
