Listen Up, City Planners: These Are The Stores and Restaurants Tuscaloosa REALLY Needs
Tuscaloosa is in an era of unprecedented growth, but as Coach Saban would say, there's always room for improvement.
My co-worker Kimberly went around the office and asked us what businesses we'd like to see in T-Town. You can see the full list HERE, but some of the top picks were like, Trader Joe's, Whole Foods, and Dave and Buster's.
I totally agrees that we need a Trader Joe's. I would sell a kidney for a Trader Joe's in Tuscaloosa, and I am 100 about that. I'd like to see a Whole Foods, too--but Whole Foods and I have a tortured relationship in that it's just too dang expensive. Regardless, these two made my list
In a perfect world, I'd bring these bad boys in to T-Town:
1. Lush
2. Full-Size Sephora
3. Ikea
5. Trader Joe's
6. Starbucks (with a drive-thru, NOT on campus)
8. Flip Burger
9. Wild Eggs
10. Lush
11. Lush
12. LUSH (Did I mention Lush? Because we need a Lush.)
13. Home Goods
14. Melting Pot
15. Lush
What's on your list? I think we're lucky to be living in Tuscaloosa--it's such an exciting time to be in the City of Champions. We got our Milo's back--and now we have all these new and amazing places like Chuy's, World Market, and The Fresh Market; places like Steak & Shake and Whataburger will be opening soon. We're on the right track, people--but we NEED that Lush. Y'all feel me?
