Lessons Learned Living In a Small Town Like Tuscaloosa

The secret is out, I'm not from Tuscaloosa! Lol. I can truly say that I've learned a lot living in Tuscaloosa.

All my life, I've lived in Florida. I was born and raised in Orlando, & I went to college in Daytona Beach. Never in my life would I have imagined living in Alabama. Let alone a small town like Tuscaloosa.

I'm very much used to the "big city life" but I didn't know that until I moved here. There are just certain things that we're used to living in big cities. To be honest, I didn't feel like Orlando was a big city. We always looked at New York City, and Los Angeles as big cities and felt that Orlando wasn't really a big city.

Living in Tuscaloosa for a little over a year, I've taken it upon myself to examine my life and things I'm accustomed to, and why. Instead of me looking at the habits of people in Tuscaloosa and negatively comparing them to my life in Orlando, I'm finding out why. Why people drive so slow here. OMG! That is one of my biggest complaints and I don't think I'll ever get used to this, but I understand why.

Since I moved here, I've been kind of collecting data on the differences between Tuscaloosa and Orlando. Living in a big city versus living in a small town. With those differences, I've learned lessons and I'm finally ready to share.
