The decision to close until Friday and cancel the August Art Night was made by Kentuck Arts Center on Wednesday.

An email statement from Kentuck said,

Kentuck Art Center will be closed today, August 4 - Friday, August 6, 2021. An employee has tested positive for COVID-19, and Kentuck's policy states all staff must get a negative PCR test before returning to work. August's Art Night, (Aug 5, 2021) is canceled.

A decision will be made in the coming week about the delayed opening of Maralyn Wilson's exhibition, Creations of a Curious Sort (What Maralyn Did During The Lockdown). Thank you for your understanding as we do what we can to keep our staff and our community healthy. If you need to contact our staff, please email kentuck@kentuck.org.

An update to the statement was later released stating,

Thank you so much for your well wishes. Our entire staff has been vaccinated since April/May, so we're hoping this breakthrough infection is isolated.
