A seafood franchise gaining acclaim across the southeast is coming soon to Tuscaloosa's Midtown Village in the spot that once housed house Bob's Victory Grille.

The site has been empty since Baumhower's closed in July 2017, but new signs were up Wednesday afternoon promising that The Juicy Crab would open there soon.

The Juicy Crab was founded in Duluth, Georgia in 2015 and labels itself a New Orleans-style seafood boil where guests can expect heavily seasoned crab, shrimp, lobster and more served alongside new potatoes, corn on the cob, rice and other sides in plastic bags of spicy, steamy juice.

Guests are provided with bibs and gloves and invited to take on their Cajun style seafood feasts.

If the Atlanta Eats Review of the restaurant embedded below is any indication, Tuscaloosa is in for a treat when this new eatery opens in Midtown Village.
