UPDATE (06/24) - Jaden Shackelford, after going undrafted in the 2022 NBA Draft, will join the Oklahoma City Thunder on an Exhibit 10 deal, per Brett Siegel of Sports Illustrated.

An Exhibit 10 deal is a one-year minimum salary contract that counts toward a team's offseason roster limit of 20, but will only count against the cap if the player makes the team.

Essentially, Shackelford is on a trial run with the Thunder, and his contract could be converted to a two-way deal in which the guard could play for either Oklahoma City or their G-League counterpart.

Former Crimson Tide guard Jaden Shackelford, who averaged 16.6 points per game last season, went undrafted in the 2022 NBA Draft.

A four-star recruit in 2019, Shackelford joined a Tide team fresh off of a disappointing 2018 season that ended in a 18-16 (8-10) record and first round NIT exit.

A member of Avery Johnson's final recruiting class at Alabama, Shackelford decided to stick with his commitment even after the departure of Johnson and play his first season under new head coach Nate Oats.

That season (2019-20) saw the Tide make some improvements over the year prior, but ultimately end up with a similar record. Alabama was set to take on Tennessee in the SEC Tournament, but COVID-19 brought the season to a halt.

In the 2020-21 season, Shackelford and the Tide took the SEC by storm, dominating the league and finishing with a 26-7 (16-2) record. Alabama won both the SEC regular season title and the conference tournament, becoming the first team to do so since 1987. The Crimson Tide entered the 2021 NCAA Tournament as the fifth overall seed, and advanced to the Sweet Sixteen before falling to UCLA in overtime.

In Shackelford's junior season, the team took a step back from the year before, finishing 19-14 (9-9) and losing in the first round of the NCAA Tournament.

The Hesperia, CA native worked out for a few NBA teams ahead of this year's draft, but between his age and inconsistent performance at Alabama, this was an expected outcome by many.

Despite his shortcomings during his time in Tuscaloosa, Shackelford is still a very athletic guard with above average shooting ability. While he may not have been selected in this year's draft, he could still join a team for the Summer League and potentially take a route similar to that of John Petty and sign with a G-League franchise.
