Sewell-Thomas Stadium and Rhodes Stadium are now legally allowed to sell and serve alcohol, which follows the city's approval of alcohol sales in Coleman Coliseum in February and in Bryant-Denny Stadium, which received its license in August before the start of the 2022 football season.

Chicago-based Levy Premium Foodservice oversees concessions operations at all of the University of Alabama's athletic venues and was the filer for the license.

UA President, Dr. Stuart Bell, previously stated the sale of alcohol at UA Athletic facilities would be "a net positive for the school."

"We've been able to watch what occurs both at NFL games, professional games, but also within other collegiate atmospheres, and there are many positive steps you can take to make sure it is the best fan experience that you can have," Bell said in August.

The Tide's baseball and softball seasons begin in February, and although the University has yet to officially announce alcohol sales at home games when they begin, the Tuesday night vote paves the way for them.

The Council voted 5-1 in favor of granting the licenses. Cassius Lanier did not attend the meeting and John Faile voted against the measures.
