Days later, on the night of December 20, additional vehicles were reportedly broken into.

Following the launch of an investigation, a suspect vehicle was identified and that information was sent to security at Mercedes-Benz, and surrounding law enforcement agencies.

The release states on Tuesday, deputies responded after TCSO was alerted that the suspect vehicle was spotted in the parking lot, where they found two occupants inside.

Following the investigation, Ja'Leon De'Shawn Patterson was charged with 11 counts of unlawful breaking and entering of a motor vehicle, which McDaniel said covers crimes that occurred on both dates.

As of Wednesday afternoon, Patterson was not listed as an inmate at the Tuscaloosa County Jail and his mugshot was not available.
