17 Companies Seek to Hire Hundreds at Thursday Job Fair in Northport
More than a dozen companies will set up at Northport City Hall this week at a job fair where they seek to hire workers across several industries.
The event is organized and hosted by West AlabamaWorks, who will welcome the area employers this Thursday, October 31st, from 10 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. at Northport City Hall at 3500 McFarland Boulevard.
In a press release, West AlabamaWorksthey are working with the Alabama Career Center System and will host at least 17 companies at the event. Those present are expected to include DCH Health System, Peco Foods, the Alabama Department of Mental Health, Schnellecke Logistics, ZF Foxconn Chassis Modules, and supportive services including ADRS and Skilled Trades of West Alabama.
Those in attendance can speak directly with company representatives and apply for open positions in their organizations.
“Community hiring events are essential to connecting job seekers with local employers, and we appreciate the City of Northport for graciously providing us with their space to support this initiative,” said West AlabamaWorks Executive Director Donny Jones. “We want to encourage those looking to get back into the workforce or looking for a new career to come and participate in this great event.”
