Tuscaloosa’s First 7 Brew Celebrates Ribbon-Cutting, Donates to Central High Band
Management at Tuscaloosa's first 7 Brew coffee stand celebrated their arrival Tuesday with a ribbon-cutting ceremony made all the more special by a big donation to a local high school marching band.
As the Thread first reported, 7 Brew has been open across on 15th Street since early July.
On Tuesday morning, Regional Director of Operations Jackson Barclay was in Tuscaloosa to celebrate a month under their belts and, of course, the return of 40,000 or so college students to the University of Alabama campus.
"It's so exciting to finally have a stand in Tuscaloosa, we've been just itching to open a location here, looking for that right place, and finally found the perfect spot over here on 15th across from Foosacklys," Barclay said. "It's just been absolutely amazing, even before the students have come back. We've just seen so much love from the community."
Barclay said it's important for the coffee stand to recognize that early support and return some of it back to the community.
That's why, just a month after first opening, 7 Brew Tuscaloosa presented a $1,000 check to the Central High Marching Band before the ribbon-cutting Tuesday.
"We love to say we're that local small-town coffee shop, even though we are growing. We just really love to get plugged in with our communities and cultivate kindness wherever we go," he said. "Because communities give so much to us and come through to get some amazing coffee or any of our other drinks, so aim to give back whenever we can."
The ribbon-cutting had a few special guests, including the best brand ambassador anyone could ask for here in the Druid City - Big Al, who was on hand for selfies and antics with staff and customers.
Barclay thanked everyone who has stopped at 7 Brew since they opened in July and encouraged anyone who hasn't to come give them a try.
In addition to coffee, 7 Brew offers a variety of teas, smoothies, sparkling water, energy drinks and more, all of which can be customized with their wide variety of addable flavors.
"One special thing about Seven Brew is we can basically make any drink in your wildest dreams come true. We have over 20,000 different drink combinations including sugar-free options and our own brand-new energy drink," Barclay said. "If you come here and you come and visit us, you're just gonna get amazing, speedy service with a smile and our great products to go alongside it."
7 Brew is open daily at 406 15th Street East, and is serving drinks almost all day - from 5:30 a.m. until 10 p.m. Sunday through Thursday and until 11 p.m. on Friday and Saturday.
Specials and giveaways are planned this weekend.
