Must Visit: Alabama Sunflower Fields Will Take Your Breath Away
For the last few years, I've heard of people talking about a mystical, magical, picture-perfect sunflower field in Alabama. I was told it wasn't too far from West Alabama but the people who always told me about it have never been.
At this point, it started to sound like it was just a figment of people's imagination and didn't exist.
Recently, I not only located the farm owners, but I spoke with them and ended up taking a trip to see the sunflower fields myself at Hubert Family Farms in New Market, Alabama. As a father and loving husband, I couldn't go alone, I had to take my family to see it as well.
When we arrived, we had no idea what to expect. It felt like we were fish out of the water, but as soon as we got near the check-in booth, we were greeted by Julie who works on the farm, and Kaylee who owns and operates the farm with her husband Seth.
They welcomed us and explained how everything worked and even directed us to the best flowers that were perfectly bloomed.
My family and I planned to stay there for just an hour and a half and we ended up being there for close to six hours!
It turns out we went to Hubert Farm during their Fall Market. This means that Hubart Farm supplies you with clippers and a bucket and you can go pick as many flowers as you want. You can also enjoy the vendors and attractions like we did.
While there, we had a family photo shoot with our wonderful family photographer Ambre of FarAsMars Media while in the sunflower fields.
Hubert Family Farms even has photoshoot props placed throughout the fields to help give the perfect photoshoot for couples, families, pets or individuals.
We were able to take a break from the sunflower fields and enjoy the food trucks, vendors, and live music by Morgan Laubach.
I can't explain how much fun we had at Hubert Farms. I have not a single complaint. They will definitely see us again for Tulip season in the spring.
If you'd like to visit for sunflowers, hurry! The season is almost over and their last Fall Flower Festival will be Sept. 25th.
If you'd like to enjoy the Fall Market like we did, the last one is September 23rd. You can find more information by visiting their website here.
Thank you to Hubert Farms for a great experience!
