The National Weather Service in Birmingham has issued a “Wind Advisory” for portions of Alabama.

 This Advisory is for winds outside of any thunderstorm.

Timeframe

The wind advisory is in effect from this evening at 7 p.m. until Saturday at 4 a.m.

Counties Impacted

The counties under the wind advisory are Fayette, Lamar, Marion, Pickens, and Tuscaloosa.

Possible Impacts

You can expect “south winds of 15 to 20 mph with gusts up to 40 mph.”

“Gusty winds could blow around unsecured objects. Tree limbs could be blown down and a few power outages may result,” said the National Weather Service in Birmingham.
