I don’t want to hear another word from you.

I know, I know it sounds really harsh and borderline rude.

The fact is, I have reached a breaking point here in Tuscaloosa, Alabama.

I am also a lifelong fan and I should confess, I was in need of some help to “shut up” earlier this year.

The truth is that the Alabama Crimson Tide football team is the superstar sports franchise in these parts.

We have never seen our Crimson Tide men’s basketball team win a national championship.

We have seen some good times and good teams but we all know, at the end of the day, the national championship is what matters!

It is natural to doubt what we’re seeing with Nate Oates and his 2022/2023 basketball club.

THEY ARE 26-4!

That is not a fluke or luck or an accident.

I have heard the lifelong fans saying that we almost were out coached by Bruce Pearl and that we have had TOO many close games and comebacks and my favorite “if we play like that in the tournament, we are DONE In the first round”.

Lord, help me. How about this: IF WE PLAY LIKE WE HAVE IN LATE FEBRUARY AND EARLY MARCH……WE WILL WIN A NATIONAL CHAMPIONSHIP!!

Winning close games against good teams is what makes a team a true championship team. I won’t bore you with all the history but just about every championship team has a bunch of close games on their records and they found a way to win.

The 2022/2023 Alabama men’s basketball team is doing the same thing right before our eyes.

That is huge when the games REALLY matter because they never feel out of any game. If they are down by 10 in the second half, they don’t panic. They know they can win the game.

We are watching a truly special team that cut down the nets after beating Auburn a second time, the other night.

I think it’s time we lifelong fans stop talking about all the negative things that could happen and get behind the best men’s basketball team in Crimson Tide history.

ROLL TIDE!!!!
