Hollywood Movie Star And Legendary Country Singer Coming To Tuscaloosa
The 2024 entertainment lineup at Mercedes Benz Amphitheatre adds another big name today.
He's starred in "Wedding Crashers", "Sling Blade" and "Panic Room" on the big screen. He recently missed being inducted into the Country Music Hall Of Fame's Class Of 2024, by the slimmest of margins.
Who is it?
The one and only Dwight Yoakam.
He is scheduled to perform at the Mercedes Benz Amphitheatre on Friday, October 18th.
Tickets will go on sale this Friday, June 21st.
Dwight Yoakam's tour is "The Cosmic Roundup & Rodeo Tour" and it features The Mavericks in a supporting role.
Yoakam has been wildly successful in country music with ten studio albums, dozens of hit singles, and wins at the Grammy Awards.
In addition, he has also been a winner of the Academy Of Country Music awards.
He's known for his distinctive style of traditional country mixed with his special blend of rowdy honky-tonk.
On film, he's starred in multiple hits like "Four Christmases", "Wedding Crashers", "The Minus Man" and his most famous role alongside Billy Bob Thornton in the Academy Award-winning "Sling Blade".
