Where Does Jalen Milroe Rank in Heisman Odds?

The 2024 college football season is underway, and while it's young, many of the nation's top players are already jockeying for position in the Heisman trophy race.

One of these Heisman Hopefuls is Alabama quarterback Jalen Milroe, who placed sixth in voting last season.

Per FanDuel Sportsbook Odds, Milroe has the fifth-best odds at +1000. Four players are above Milroe: Georgia's Carson Beck (+900), Miami's Cam Ward (+850), Ole Miss' Jackson Dart (+850), and Oregon's Dillon Gabriel (+850)

The Crimson Tide signal-caller started the season with a bang, only requiring seven completions on nine attempts to throw for 200 yards and three touchdowns. The Katy, Texas, native also added 79 yards and two scores on the ground.

Beck, Ward, Dart, and Gabriel all kicked off their Heisman campaign with a win, too.

Beck looked strong in Georgia's 34-3 win over No. 14 Clemson, throwing for 278 yards and two touchdowns.

Ward shined, tossing 385 yards, three touchdowns, and an interception in Florida's 41-17 rout of Florida in The Swamp.

The Rebels rolled over the FCS Furman Paladins, racking up 76 points as Dart threw for 418 yards and five touchdowns.

The Ducks struggled against the Idaho Vandals, barely eeking out a 24-14 win. Yet, Gabriel filled up the stat sheet, tossing 41 completions for 380 yards and two touchdowns.

While the season is far from over, the Heisman race is already hot and rolling. Only time will tell if Milroe can become the fifth Crimson Tide player and the second Alabama quarterback to claim the Heisman trophy in New York City on December 14.
