Top Recruits Visiting Tide Basketball
According to the On3 composite rankings, Alabama Men's Basketball currently has a top-10 recruiting class in the country, but head coach Nate Oats and recruiting director Preston Murphy aren't content with just a top-10 class.
According to Joe Tipton of On3 Sports, Alabama Men's Basketball is hosting three of the top recruits in the nation this weekend, headlined by Davion Hannah.
Hannah is a four-star combo guard in the 2025 recruiting class, standing at 6-foot-5 from Lin Academy. The No. 32 overall prospect in the 2025 class took an official visit to Alabama in August and will return this weekend for an unofficial visit.
On3 National Recruiting Analyst Jaime Shaw said on Hannah, "The thing with Davion Hannah is his explosive burst. Hannah is at his best when he is able to get downhill toward the basket. He gets above the rim in transition and plays in straight lines. While he is a threat as a pull up shooter, he will need to develop his shooting consistency from range. He is comfortable with the ball in his hands in the half court, but would like to see him clean up his reads. The athleticism leads to intrigue on the defensive end, he is a twitchy athlete and he competes. He has good size and nice length, projectable frame. Would like to see him become a more efficient player, but he has a lot of tools and his competitive nature helps leads to production.
Two four stars in the 2026 recruiting class are joining Hannah in Tuscaloosa this weekend: Jaxon Richardson (No. 26 nationally) and Tarris Bouie (No. 73 nationally).
Richardson is a 6-foot-6 small forward from Christopher Columbus High School in Miami, Florida. Bouie is a 6-foot-5 small forward from Chambers High School in Charlotte, North Carolina.
All three players will attend Alabama Football's match with South Carolina, and be in attendance on Friday night for the Final Four banner reveal inside Coleman Coliseum.
