Opening Lines for Alabama & Georgia
Betting lines have begun to open for the Crimson Tide's star-studded matchup with the Georgia Bulldogs on September 28.
Alabama is currently a 2.5-point underdog according to most sportsbooks, but there are some different lines out there.

Bet MGM - Alabama is a 3.5-point underdog against Georgia.
ESPN Bet - Alabama is a 2.5-point underdog against Georiga.
Vegas Insider - Alabama is a 4.5-point underdog against Georgia.
DraftKings - Alabama is a 2.5-point underdog against Georgia.
Fanduel - Alabama is a 2.5-point underdog against Georgia.
Bally Sportsbook - Alabama is a 0.5-point favorite against Georgia.
It's just the third time since the start of the 2007 season that Alabama has been an underdog at home.
LSU was a seven-point favorite over the Crimson Tide in 2007. LSU won 41-34.
Alabama and Georgia met in the SEC Championship in 2023. The Crimson Tide was a 5.5-point underdog going into that game. The Crimson Tide, led by quarterback Jalen Milroe, won 27-24 to clinch the school's 29th SEC Championship in football.
That was a different era of Alabama football, however. Nick Saban was still the head coach, and the win was the final win of Nick Saban's career. Alabama went on to lose to Michigan in the Rose Bowl in the College Football Playoffs, and Saban would retire a week later.
Georgia went on to play in the Orange Bowl as the no. 6 team in the country, dominating a then-undefeated Florida State team 63-3.
Kalen DeBoer is now the head coach of the Crimson Tide, and his young Alabama tenure could be defined depending on what happens at home against the Bulldogs.
DeBoer and Alabama are currently 3-0 with a bye week before the monumental matchup with Georgia.
According to the NCAA Game simulation, Alabama defeats Georgia just 28.5% of the time, with an average score of 20.9 to 13.8 in favor of the Bulldogs.
