Kirby Smart Praises “Hollywood” Williams

Alabama Football has a freshman phenom, and his name is Ryan Williams, also known as "Hollywood."

He currently leads Alabama in receptions (10), receiving yards (285), and touchdowns (4). The 17-year-old re-classified from the 2025 recruiting class to the 2024 recruiting class to join Alabama Football early and is already shining in his likely short tenure in Tuscaloosa.

Williams is already generating buzz from opposing coaches. Georgia head coach Kirby Smart was asked about Hollywood on Wednesday during the SEC Coaches Teleconference, and he had high praise for the young receiver,

"He's extremely talented. A kid we recruited. He came over and saw us several times. He's a delightful personality. He's fun to be around and a great kid."

Georgia will have its hands full with Williams, who has started all three games for Alabama so far this season. He'll likely line up against Georgia's top cornerback, Daylen Everette.

Williams has taken advantage of one-on-one coverage early this season, but the competition level will rise tremendously on September 28, when Alabama hosts Georgia, which is widely viewed as one of the top teams in college football.
