Bama in the NFL: Week Two Outlook
Week two is here, no more waiting around for football, each week is going faster; so let's enjoy the games we have. Here are the main matchups to watch for Bama football alumni this week.
Dolphins vs. Bills (Thursday 7:15):
Tua Tagovailoa (Dolphins) - A huge divisional game, the first one for the dolphins, and it's at home too. A big game here means to expect big play from the stars. Tua is primed to have a good game and to see if the Dolphins can get over their hump that is the Bills.
Jaylen Waddle (Dolphins) - Coming off a great game last week, expect more of the same this week, as the Bills defense is not as good as it was a year ago. With Tyreek getting the most coverage as usual watch for Waddle to be there to rake in catches.
Falcons vs. Eagles (Mon. 7:15):
DeVonta Smith (Eagles) - An interesting matchup for the Eagles, one that should not be too much of a struggle, but it is the NFL. Smitty should be able to take advantage of softer coverage since AJ Brown will get most of the attention. Watch for him to move the chains again this week.
Jalen Hurts (Eagles) - Coming off a decent performance last week, the Eagles and Jalen look to make progress. After two picks last week, Jalen will look to keep the ball more secure, especially with the safeties that the Falcons have. Expect a good game here and one that could be more competitive than one might think.
Jase McClellan (Falcons) - While he is active on the roster, he did not see any play time last week, and with a loaded RB room for the Falcons, I would not expect that to change.
Lions vs. Buccaneers (Sun. Noon):
Jahmyr Gibbs (Lions) - Coming off a good game last week Expect something similar here. Since the Bucs have a great defensive front it may be a struggle for a while in the run game for Gibbs, but expect his passing usage to be higher in order to combat that. He will get the snaps, just be patient.
Jameson Williams (Lions) - Now a main target for Goff in this offense, expect Jamo to get the targets. With St. Brown being the main attraction in this passing game, don't be surprised when Jamo slips through over the top.
Chris Braswell (Bucs) - Coming along strong for this Bucs defense, expect him to be a big leader out there again this week.
Those are the three main games for Bama players. Big divisional games start this week so expect chaos. Check back on Tuesday for the recap!
