Alabama Football: 2 Breakout Players for the Crimson Tide Opener against Western Kentucky

It is finally that time of year-- The cooler air will start to pour in, the tailgates arise, and hundreds of thousands of people flock to Tuscaloosa, Alabama to see what they have been waiting on for over 7 months: The Alabama Crimson Tide Football team. With the home opener also serving as the season opener, the Crimson Tide has a lot to offer when it comes to new faces, numbers, and new coaches. This is the first true season without Nick Saban as head coach in 17 years, and many are unsure if the Tide can continue its success. Well starting in just a couple of short weeks, we get to see the start of a new era. Below are a few players that had been talked about this off season who are bound to take off in the first game against Western Kentucky.

1.) RB - Jam Miller: 

Miller comes into this season with not only high expectations but high praise also. Coaches this off-season have been raving about Miller's ability to explode, see open space, and bounce off defenders. There are talks about if he can hold off Justice Hayes for the starting spot, but I think Miller offers a lot of tangibles that can help lead Alabama this season. I think the first drive for the Tide is a successful one, with Miller leading the charge and finishing with less than 100 yards, but truly helping establish the dynamic offense this new look offense needs.

2.) WR - Ryan Williams:

When it comes to true freshman Ryan Williams, many will already know his name, however I think we have not even started to see what Williams can really do. Within the first game, I see Ryan Williams taking the world by storm and showing why he was good enough to not only be a Top 3 receiver, but re-classify, and still hold a Top 5 position ranking. Word from summer camp is that Williams athleticism is similar to Jaylen Waddle, with a combination of speed, ability to escape, and heart for learning. I can easily see Williams become a monster for YAC and transform this WR room.

There are plenty of other Crimson Tide players that can show out in the season opener, but these are the two I think will start the game off right. Imagine it either way-- "Jalen Milroe with a 48-yard deep ball to true freshman receiver RYAN WILLIAMS FOR A TOUCHDOWN".
